Summary:

Ixodes spp, or hard-bodied ticks, have long been recognized as important vectors of many diseases affecting humans, for example Lyme disease, tick-borne encephalitis, babesiosis, anaplasmosis etc. With climate change and urbanization, the geographic range of Ixodes is expandingas well as the risk of tick bites and human infections.

Come meet our experts for a lively discussion on epidemiology, clinical aspects of major Ixodes-transmitted diseases, and preventive measures.
